Went here for drinks. The craft cocktails I had were really good and the kitchen stays open late. It is a small resturant and the servers are friendly. The night I went it was a younger crowd. The decore is amazing. If you a looking for a smaller place to share a few drinks with good friends or a first date, this is a good place.
Excellent food in a stylish location. If you walk too fast you'll miss it! Don't do that!
The drinks were creative, we tried two one was excellent the citrus mule and the other wasn't as great ..way too sweet and I like sweet drinks. Wanted to order another but the place was understaffed and couldn't get another before we had to leave. All in all cute place, interesting take on drinks and good music. I would go back again.
Wasn't sure what to expect with some mixed reviews but we were passing through Alexandria and hungry late at night.. not many places still serving a dinner menu at that time. The menu was limited but we tried one of the burgers, the fries, and chickpeas. I'd probably not get the chickpeas again because the fries were SOoO good and a large portion to share. The prices were great for the quality of food and portion. Eddie was on staff and he was the best! I'd definitely come back.. would love to try their lunch menu!
I had the shrimp roll, truffle fries and some of my friends dumplings. The shrimp roll had amazing bread! Soft and buttery and delicious. The insides were good but a little much for me. Really saucy and a lot of celery or onion. I couldn't decipher what exactly. The fries were soooo good!! And so was the dumplings. The chocolate chip cookie wasn't very good at all but over all I'd say this place was a win. And the service was super friendly.
I am so impressed! Rarely do you find a place (in my opion) where every bite is absolutely delectable, but this place is definitely it! I tried their pork belly, veggies fritters, and Peruvian corpse reviver! Absolutely amazing. Every bite and every sip. Complements to the chef, I'll be back with my family and friends! Divine.
Great cocktails. small place but the cocktails/fríes are wonderful
I ordered the Red Bowl and the flavors were awesome! My family ordered flavorful burgers and steak sandwiches, and they were fantastic too! All the food had a very cohesive taste and I can tell they used fresh ingredients. The vibe was just right, away from the busy bustle along King Street. a bit like the flavors too.
The prices of the drinks are very reasonable.
I would absolutely recommend it to my friends!
I came to The People’s Drug this past Sunday and I was incredibly impressed. To be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this little bar has a lot to offer. You can find it right off King Street.
You have your choice of bar seating, table seating as well as outside seating. Anyway, to get started my wife and I tried both the Irish Afternoon and the Flower Sour. The drinks are strong and have a wonderful presentation. You can tell they really thought about the drinks.
To eat we got the Strawberry Ricotta Toast, Hot Dog Sliders, and the Chicken Satay Skewers. Plenty of food for two people to share. I would have liked to have tried other items on the menu but I was too full. I’ll definitely need to come back another time.
There is metered street parking out front and about a block down on the left is parking garage, which you also have to pay for.
The bar is extremely clean and well taken care of. Our waiter did an amazing job. He got our orders out to us quickly and correctly. All around a great job!
