Pretty good sushi with some interesting mixtures.
The first thing that caught my eye here was the Red Bull roll. Anything with lobster and filet mignon combined with any type of roll is a winner in my book. The mix was delicious as expected along with other rolls ordered. As an appetizer, I ordered the soft shell crab that was decent, not the best I've had but didn't disappoint as far as taste and chew-ability goes.
With the small amount of time I've spent in the Fort Belvoir area, I haven't ventured to other sushi bars to call this the best in the area. However, It's flavor along with the restaurants ambiance is enough to make it a go to spot for sushi on future visits.

Very good sushi (the reason to come here). Good tempura. Good Thai and Chinese food (Japanese-ish). The teriyaki is average. If you eat alone at the sushi bar, they sometimes throw an appetizer at you. Large portions. Affordable.
Worth the trip. Comfortable environment. Service fast. Food is good and portions are large.

Is a definite must go!! The best sushi I have had on the east coast this far!! Prices are good and the rolls are of a bigger size!!
Great environment, staff, and atmosphere. The food was great too! We definitely be back. It's hard to find a restaurant with lots of positive aspects. Kumo is for sure a great restaurant! :O)
New local favorite. They have great presentation, attentive staff and a great menu.
