Had an egg w/bacon on a rye bagel. Totally delist, and great service from the owner. I highly recommend it to all. If you're from NY (or back east) you will love this place.
An awesome bagel shop. Good service, delicious bagel treats and customer care makes you feel so at home. When I've got to have a bagel fix...this is where I'd go. Wolfe's Bagel is a great way to start your day. It's a great place for those important one-on-one business conversations with colleagues.
The service is unbeatable, and then to top it off the bagel sandwiches are overloaded and well priced. The flavor was very home cooked rather than chalked full of preservatives. I I highly recommend this place.
I've been coming here for the last three years and have enjoyed all their bagels. The staff are good people and I feel l've known them as I am from the east coast.
For those that left unsatisfied, you went there to eat, not to be a food critic. You don't like it that's fine, others will go there for the food not for how the staff act or how the looks and feel to you. Any with expectations of resembling franchises like Einsteins Bagels, you won't find it there, because it's not an overly controlled environment. Those with that expectation are following a pattern that differs from small businesses like Wolfe's Bagels.
Sandwich bagels are great. You get alot on them. They are fresh and really tasty. Nice atmosphere very friendly. Love this place. Took off a star since I hardly got any cream cheese, they really skimped on the schmear. :\ if you're hungry their bagel sandwiches are the best
Decided to try a local spot instead of Einstein’s for some bagels to take into work. It was a great choice. Everyone at the office commented that the bagels were superior quality and wanted to know where they were from. Staff (father and son, I believe) were extremely friendly. Will go back!
Wolfe's Bagels is definitely the best place in Albuquerque for all your bagel needs. They have a wide variety of choices and their food is to die for! The poor reviews are very dated. They have since gotten a new manager and the place is very clean and professional. Customer service is fantastic and I highly recommend checking them out! Keep it local, Albuquerque!!
I worked for Wolfe's bagels for over 10 years and it has always and will always have been my favorite job. I love the food and staff they are like family.. I would choose Wolfe's bagels over any other bagel place in town hands down!!! And it's awesome to see how much this place has grown over the years... Hopefully many more awesome years to come!!!
Don't usually go out of my way for a bagel but glad I did. Had the NM spin (green chili cream cheese) with lox (from NY- the real deal) and all the trimmings (bermuda onion, capers, lots of fresh ripe tomatoes.) Was reluctant to go based on previous bad reviews. Asked the very nice guy behind the counter and apparently it's under new management. I have no reservations about recommending Wolfie's to my friends and agree that it is "the best bagel above sea level" not just a bagel shaped bread:)
They have the best Nova lox sandwhich and fish platter. Both filling and for a decent price!
Employees are very friendly and show that they care for the customer and of coarse I haven't had a bagel that good since I was in NY. I would highly suggest.
This place is delicious. Locally owned and locally operated! The owner is normally there and makes the sandwiches and coffees himself. If anything isn't what I expected (not enough cream cheese, coffee too sweet or not sweet enough), I take it to the counter and they fix it with a smile. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I see people commenting about the wait time... Sometimes you have a little bit of a wait- I've never waited more than 10 minutes. If you can't be patient for a few minutes for in housemade bagels and shmear by a local, bring your smartphone to entertain yourself, strike up a conversation with a person... or go to McDonald's. ;)
Fantastic bagels, good as any in Chicago. If you have a sweet tooth, and they're not sold out, try the chocolate chip bagel. For a savory selection, you can't beat the everything bagel with chive cream cheese.
