It's a really nice place with friendly staff, and supports local businesses! They've also got a nice selection of Japanese drinks and sweets, and the coffee is nice. Great price. My only complaint is that the AC is always blasting inside, and makes it uncomfortable to eat the Italian ice in.

OMG IM SOO EXCITED TO HAVE A POP-POP's BACK!!! i was Seriously distraught when the old original one closed down a few years! & this new place IS DELICIOUS!! so i got a large Watermelon Gelati 🍉 🍦 Italian Ice & a pretzel w/ cheese 🥨, & I gotta say ths, i was presently satisfied w my entire order! The ONLY critique i could make, would be that it doesn't have even 1/3 of all the flavor varieties that the old Pop-Pop's had,...... but hey, to my recollection the old Pop-Pop's never had Gelati 's or Icebreakers EITHER!!! 😝 & they have 🍉, which is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE flavor anyways! (Now if they start making a vanilla like the old places (😋mmmmm that was 2die 4) ... or a 🍌 flavor to the menu, then this place would be Truly Ideal & the place to beat! I'd come Every day! But,.... as it is..... i think I'm STILL gonna come here at Least one a week! 😘 ITS THAT GOOD! 🥰🙏🏻💖🫶🏼💋🥰

Went in and loved the atmosphere of it. I gave them a one dollar tip and got a free sample of pineapple! The staff were nice and friendly, they looked cool. If you want to support a local business, this is the one to go for!
BEST ITALIAN ICE EVER
Have been going here since I was younger and still enjoy it to this day. Now with the new ownership I love how updated it is AND with the same delicious italian ice. Plus even more goodies. They never let me down!
Lots of flavor choices and you can get shakes or mix of both with the soft serve, and two flavors, some nachos too!
Once in a while I get this craving for good ol’ Italian coffee. Fortunately I just found out about POP-POPS here in Albuquerque. I had two shots of Italian expresso coffee. It was great!! But POP-POPS’ main attraction seems to be Italian Ice. Definitely next time, for sure. POP-POPS is open from 12 noon. On San Mateo and Academy.
Great to see a brick and mortar location again! We were well taken care of with fast, friendly service and clean bathrooms. The frozen treats were delicious and refreshing. I love all the flavors available to choose from as well as the other selection of snacks they have available. We can’t wait to go back. Thanks Pop Pops!
