Really like the atmosphere and size of the seating area (no elbows bumping here). My first few bites of brisket were chewy and a bit dry (crust area) but as I continued the meal, the texture improved tremendously. Collard greens a bit too vinegary but the sweet potato casserole was spectacular with the crunch of corn chips (?) sprinkled on top. Never had grilled cornbread before but it was a nice addition to texture. Sauce... Alright I lived in Texas so I thought it was just ok but we will return.

LOVING THIS PLACE!!!! The smell as soon as you walk in just wraps you up and makes you instantly smile. Every type of meat and sides are super genuine, fresh and DELISH!!!! The space is big, inviting and the service is the BEST!!! I hate that I live so far because I'd eat there about every day! So many options I probably could!! Either way, it's totally worth the drive and I cant wait to go back!!! Oh, and they do have a little selection of local beers and cider and a couple of TVs playing sports too!!!!

Will definitely be back! Someone came up when we were looking over the menu (I'm assuming the manager) and answered the questions we had, and told us how about all the specials that day. He was very helpful. The service was very fast, we were just sitting down and they brought out our food. Everything tasted great, the turkey had good flavor, the red beans and rice was excellent, and you can't go wrong with potato salad. My bf had the hot links, stew and mac and cheese, which was also very tasty. Glad to have more options for good food in town!

Fast service whether in house or call in. Never any long lines food is good and fair prices. Place is clean and tidy unlike some others in town. My kids love their ribs I'm partial to their brisket. If you're tired of the same old BBQ joint give these guys a try. Oh and they have beer on tap

Tried a huge portion of the menu and alot of it is good. The ribs fall off the bone, pulled pork was excellent. The BBQ sauce is a nice change from most sauces in Abq with a mustard tang that doesn't over power the sweet molasses. Highly recommend trying it out

Great BBQ! Everything seems to be scratch made. The corn bread was better then mine and that saying a lot 😉 The green chili grits are amazing! We loved everything we ordered. The staff was great and the place was very clean( it better be since it's new) We will be coming back often!

One of the very few things I miss about living in Alabama is the barbecue. Texas-style bbq seems to be the thing around here, and I'm decidedly not a fan. I like the subtle smokiness of the barbecue, the tangy vinegar-based sauces, and I really (REALLY) love Alabama white sauce. It warms my heart to see that it's becoming trendy in other parts of the country. The people at this location are friendly, and the place is spotless. Some people complain about the price, but I don't understand it. I ordered a smoked turkey platter, and I shared a side of hot links with my dining companion. I was utterly unable to finish everything. It's a ton of food (and it's all very good)! They also have special sides and desserts, and a good selection of local brews on tap.

We had pulled pork and Fried catfish. It was good. I would have liked 2 or more options for the BBQ sauce. The sides were great! Collard Greens were the best I've had in a while. The potato salad and slaw were very good. It's a pleasant space and even though they were busy it was still quiet enough to enjoy conversations.

Tastes like Alabama... Best BBQ place I've found west of Texas. Roll Tide

It's always been hard to get good BBQ in this town. Whole Hog is good, but pricey and my fall back had always been Rudys. However that will no longer be the case. Had the pulled pork, red beans and rice, mac and cheese and grits. All flavorful, balanced and really taste like home cooking at its best. Really rooting for this place to stay and hoping not to have to go back to my defaults. Thanks for the great experience.
