I use to come in here before when they served enchiladas and frito pies. I stopped coming at peak times due to the long wait and they would only accept cash. So I stayed away for awhile. I am happy they still have killer red chili and with a much simpler menu, they can get food out much quicker and now finally take credit cards! The little red cheeseburgers are messy but very good. The fries were perfect.
There have been some serious changes at Little Red Hamburger Hut - expanded hours, and they now take credit cards. Thank goodness, because we'd never managed to actually get here when they were open and we had cash! Glad we finally tried the place. The red chile fries were good, but it's the Little Red - a tiny but flavorful patty with red chile and gooey cheese on a simple bun- that I'll be dreaming about. So very good. Excellent (counter) service too!
The burger was tasty and the fries crisp, but that menu posted here is wrong, VERY WRONG! $10+ for a burger, fries, and a drink is way too high! The prices on the menu made me think I was getting a good deal, I was in for a surprise once I got there. So ignore the menu, they also no longer have frito pies.
Just right.... My favorite hamburger in the state - fresh meat, a grilled bun, proportionate in size to the meat . Their signature Little Red burger has outstanding red chili sauce and shredded lettuce, optional cheese (I recommend this) - it needs nothing else. I am a green chili cheeseburger fan - but this is even better. Fries are good and crisp.

Fresh and tasty. The best hamburger in Albuquerque, say I. The patties are the perfect size and proportion to the bun - a quality grilled bun. Their red chile is rich and satsifying and the Litte Red Hamburger w. red chile and lettcue - optional cheese - is hard to beat ! Fries are good too.
A decent burger, but not something I would go out of my way to have again.
Great burger!. I have to disagree with the reviews stating that the burgers are tiny and overcooked. The burgers are well-done and they're a perfectly normal size. If you're looking for gluttonous portions you won't find them here. What you will find is a great burger! The fries are cooked in fresh oil and aren't soggy. The restaurant is in a converted house about 2 blocks east of the New Mexico Museum of Natural History. The retro decor and bare wood floors create a homey atmosphere. I highly recommend this place and will be taking out of town guests here for lunch instead of the overpriced, overcrowded restaurants in Old Town Albuquerque. Enjoy!
Good burgers, but they are rather small and somewhat overpriced given their size. The much-hyped green and red chilis were disappointing too. Overall a good experience, but not really worthy of all the praise heaped on it here.
Had lunch for the first time at the Hut, it was delicious!! The staff was soo friendly and wonderful! Will definitely come back!!
Great food, and service!! Very freindly atmosphere, just a lil pricey$$
LOVE!. Had some family in town and decided to stop by here after going to Explora! SOOOO GOOD. Great service and food!
Little Red Hamburger Hut has earned Best Red Chile Cheeseburger many times, and they live up to that title. This family owned joint is busy every evening until they sell out of patties, which happens frequently.
Pretty good. I like the "handmade patties" nothing really over the top just a good burger. Recommend trying the chili cheese fries.
I love this place. Burgers are amazing and the red chile is to die for but it's a little expensive for the type of environment it is. I get the whole "hole-in-the-wall" vibe, but these prices are a little restaurant-y.
The red chile cheeseburger is to die for the way they get the red sauce to cling to the wonderfully thick and juicy beef-- such a good burger. A cultural food treasure of the Duke city.
Great food. Great service. Friendly and helpful.
Really cute burger joint with amazing green and red chile burgers. Definitely would come back!
Super good burgers and fries! Definitely a must! Very nice staff as well!
Guys. The burgers are amazing. They really are - but every single online menu lists the prices at almost half of what they actually are! That's a huge difference. Small combo for $6.50? Not a chance. Try almost $12 bucks for a small combo. Just a cheeseburger with red chile is over $9. This isn't some boutique, organic, hand massaged cattle, burger joint. It's a fast food place. Local, yes. Yes, it tastes amazing, but for those prices - Seems like it is a bit too much to ask for one burger.

I love this place, my brother knows to get me a large combo on my birthday and I am good for the rest of the day. That is a lot of food, and those fries, even the small is a big bag. Something about the way they cook it....its just great. Remember when they had the little stand that would sell out after a few hours, glade they have set hour.
Great burgers and fries. Excellent chile. Get the tortilla burger with green.
