Enjoyed having lunch here at Byrek & Baguette. It has a clean, bright and pleasant atmosphere inside. The sandwiches were really fresh and tasty. They also have vegan and gluten free bread options for your sandwich. You can order a combo with your sandwich an additional price. Choose from lentil or chicken soup, salad or fries. I ordered fries and I liked the fries a lot with aioli sauce paired with it. They have delicious desserts like cheesecakes and other cakes that you can purchase to complete your meal as they are invitingly visible in the refrigerated bakery display case right when you enter this place.
On my trip to Seattle, I was sometimes visiting 4 restaurants a day and this is the only place I returned to for a second time. Both the sweet and savory byreks are delicious. The baguette I had, the chicken pesto, was AMAZING. It had some non-traditional sandwich filling, like zucchini. Unlike most other baguettes which have such a hard crust you will likely scratch your mouth, this one was soft and chewy. I highly recommend. So tasty. I will definitely return again next time I'm in the area
I'm just adding to the good reviews. I visited on a quiet Tuesday morning. The clean and tidy place has a bunch of tables with nice ambiance. I've heard it's a family operation and the lady taking my order was kind and happy to give recommendations. I ended up ordering the baguette breakfast sandwich with brie and apricot jam as well as the ground beef byrek with onions and tomatoes. The baguette was not like what I've had before in a good way. It was more rustic with flour dusted on the outside and a soft interior. There was a nice burnt crispy layer that was a little bitter and counterbalanced the sweetness of the jam and creaminess of the brie. The byrek was very tasty as well. I'd never had one before but the beef filling was nicely seasoned and the dough surrounding the filling was flaky and rich. I have added Byrek & Baguette as a go-to breakfast place.
This restaurant was equally delicious and refreshing. It was clean, obeying all city health recommendations, and the staff were excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty and healthy meal.
I really wanted a sandwich but am gluten free so it is always difficult but Byrek and Baguette said they did gluten free bread and it was this delicious fresh baguette rather than soggy cardboard. I had the Mediterranean veggie sandwich and it was great! Perfect flavours. Their byreks smelt and looked amazing too.
I love this place! I get ham/egg breakfast samwich of Gf bread, and it's always a huge serving. 2 sandwiches. Maybe because gf bread is stupid tiny, but I appreciate it so much because often you pay more and get less with gluten-free. I also called in a salad for lunch and so glad I did. Another great choice and plenty for 2 servings. I put half of it on a plate, and it was plenty for lunch. The chicken apple goat cheese salad was great.
Great spot for breakfast and bites. I always get the veggie scramble and it's great. Only complaint is they almost always mess up my food. The older lady who usually works (sometimes there's a younger girl) is super friendly - love her. Overall a great place to eat!
It's easy to find this spot when the door is open because it smells so good. It has a warm and pleasant cafe setting / vibe, with delicious byrek (basically a savory, flaky pie) for around $4.50/piece. If you like savory British pies (yes, the meat and veggie kinds) you'll love these hot pastries and should order a few. Service and cleanliness was good too. Will be back.
Great atmosphere and the Byrek was okay. A bit overly leek-y compared to other byreks I have tried in the past, but I’m excited to return to try a different flavor next time.
