I happened upon Seed and Salt which is a few blocks from my hotel in the Marina District on my first visit to San Francisco. The food is wonderful! I highly recommend the S & S Burger! Their gluten free bread is truly the best I've ever had! Will absolutely go back again!
I am definitely not vegan, and I don't even like beets, but the beet burger was incredible. Everything we got was great. If I could eat here every day, I could totally give up meat. Some of the best food I've ever had!
Excellent stop for a healthy lunch - tasty salad and bowl options. The seating was very limited, had no issues finding a table on a weekday afternoon but might get packed on weekends or peak hours.
Yummy, clean food. You can feel good about yourself by eating this food. I ordered the Zucchini spaghetti with "Neatballs". The so called neatballs are buckwheat meatballs. I'm not a vegetarian, but I found them to be filling and substantial enough. It didn't feel like I was eating air and I wasn't starving a half hour later 😜. Seasoning could have been amped up, especially salt and pepper. But overall I was pleased. I'd go back for sure and try other items on the menu. It looked interesting.
If you are vegan than Seed + Salt is a must in San Francisco. Fresh, Filling, and Flavorful. Anything from vegan and gluten free to raw. This place is a millennials dream come true. Great location. Great atmosphere. Pretentious employees though. I'll dream about this food for the rest of my life.
Try their delicious Seed N Nut toast (flourless) with roasted mushrooms or avocado with chimichurri. Vegan and gluten-free goodness.
First time trying this place, loved it! Have to come back & try the other bowls, super healthy! a bit pricey but so worth it!
Amazing menu- everything is amazing, but I especially love the zucchini spaghetti with veggie balls. Great smoothies too. Best of all, when I needed to have a quick dinner delivered to my work, this place got a delicious, healthy meal to me, fast! Couldn't ask for any better service.
Excellent healthy options for strict diets. Clean ingredients with no fillers. So hard to find a restaurant that can accommodate no soy, no gluten, no dairy and so much more. The food is very good. My favorite is the breakfast sandwich. Packed with lots of flavor and the bread is excellent. They also have very, very good desserts that the whole family enjoys.
I would give a ten star if it were possible! We drove on Chestnut street and didn't notice the restaurant at first. It has a very humble appearance on the outside, but inside the setting is hip and cozy. My friend had the collard wrap, and I ordered the curry rice bowl. OMG. I feel there are two types of delicious food. One is just being delicious and makes you keep eating. And the other type is beyond delicious, it's meditative. For almost half an hour my friend and I didn't say much to each other. The food was so ridiculously good that we slowed down chewing, closed our eyes, and savored every single bite. I highly recommend the rice bowl, though I'm sure the rest of the menu is impressive too.
This place is adorable and the food is simply delicious. The kind of stuff you dream about having again if you don't live in SF. I had the Taco Salad, banana bread, and the superhero coffee shake. I would highly recommend all of them. This place is a little higher priced but you get what you pay for. It was pretty busy when I was there (lunch) and seating is a bit limited so probably not a great place for a big group.
Good not great. The service was lacking and food a bit slow, but it was also a busy weekend morning, may have even been a holiday. The space is small. Quality food with some unique flavors, truly some of the best tasting and quality GLUTEN FREE bread anywhere in San Francisco. Worth a visit, but ordering to go is recommended.
