Very good customer service Scott was a example of Customer service very friendly. He struck up a conversation and seemed genuinely engaged with me as a customer. I would highly recommend a promotion to customer service teacher for other locations.
The food was awesome and a great value.
Highly recommended.
Great selection and friendly staff, always a pleasure at soup kitchen!
This is one of my "go-to" places for a quick lunch that is both very good and affordable. Very good soups made from scratch. I like the patty melt too. Nothing fancy here but a good meal at a great price.
The split pea soup is good, but not great. The turkey sandwich was good, but it great. The prices are great (especially daily specials) and service is usually prompt. This is good food at a great value.
MaddieLion Eats. I'd heard a few people talk about this place so I wanted to check it out. I liked that the parking was free, which you can't seem to find anymore. The service was friendly, but a little slow considering it wasn't overly busy. My first impression when I received my food was that it looked good, but might have been overpriced because of the portion size. Actually, it was the perfect amount of food and was delicious. I would definitely go back! The Ceaser Chicken Sandwich is delicious. Perfect little lunch place.
Fast good service with great soup and bread sticks.

Basic soup + sandwiches, horrible service + dirty restaurant. The soup kitchen has been around forever and was a great place to ditch class on a winter day and fill up with some yummy tomato soup and fluffy, freshly made breadsticks at a great price in a delightfully understated nook on the most charming strip of 1100 east. But each time I return, I feel like the quality slips and I am more aware of how unfriendly the employees are and just how dirty the place is in general. I would still recommend it for a small cup of soup and breadsticks, but I don't know if the quality warrants spending more on anything more complex than the grilled cheese...
My fave place to go in the winter but their soups and sandwiches are really good... And the breadsticks!!!!
Great place to eat. Have been here quite a few times. It never disappoints! I am a regular with the SKS sandwich. Love their clam chowder soup and save room for a piece of homemade carrot cake. I would definitely recommend this place.
Great soup! The tomato is the best but you really can't go wrong with any choice. Inexpensive meals, great for a quick lunch. The SKS sandwich is pretty amazing.
It has the best bread on it's sandwiches. Its priced low. You get free breadsticks. Deco very casual-plain. Good soups.
I always get take out here. A big variety. I have to say it's a bit overpriced, but when you're in a pinch, it works. Love the clam chowder. And they load you up with bread sticks.
OK, don't judge the picture. A happy husband got to it first. I got 4 different soups and paid $60.
I love this place. I think their prices are great, there’s other places I’ve gone for soup and a sandwich that cost way more. The food is always good, I especially love the tomato soup. It is so creamy. I love that they also give a breadstick with any order or soup, and they are delicious! Love this place. It is my go-to when I’m sick, or just wanting a warm bowl of soup.
The food was amazing and the service was top notch. Price were great. No complaints.
My favorite lunch spot! Super affordable and the ladies at the kitchen are so kind. Chicken salad sandwich paired with any soup is a weekly favorite of mine.
My child and I went here for the first time today. What a cool shop. The dude running the counter is friendly and knowledgeable. We had good service, and the atmosphere is chill. My companion and I chose the chicken noodle, cream of tomato, and the New England Clan Chowder. Each was quite good. There were a lot of take out orders being picked up by hubgrub types, as we listened to tunes played on the kitchen's sound system. This place has a good vibe. I will be back.
Had lunch here today and loved it! The staff was friendly and helpful. Very laid back atmosphere - cafe style. Food was yummy and a good price. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
The sugarhouse soup kitchen is a place that I’ve been requesting for maybe 35 years 40 years. The people who work there are always very nice very pleasant. The atmosphere is always comfortable. Of course the food is always amazing. It’s comfort food if that’s what you enjoy.
This is a great place for soup and a sandwich. Priced low and you get what you pay for. My dad really liked the Reuben.
Another go to favorite for takeout. My co-workers/friends and I have 30 minutes for lunch and Soup Kitchen is more than accommodating to take our to go orders over the phone. By the time I arrive, our orders are packaged and ready to be paid for. The soups are still hot and sandwiches fresh. We usually take our lunches before the noon rush starts up and have had no issues with service or food. My order is ready when I need it to be ready and I’m back at work within the time allotted. I don’t need the service to be impeccable as long as I receive what I paid for without deficiencies. Ergo, the 5-star rating from me.
Bring back the butter garlic cheese breadsticks what are you guys doing!!!!???????? They were far superior 😭😭😭😭been eating here for years such a comfort spot but after covid it changed a bit🥺
