I ordered street tacos with beef. The food was good and fair price. The restaurant looks a bit under stuff, but they are cooperative enough. The only issue was it is so compact and may not be perfect place to eat out with someone and have a conversation. If you are in the area and looking for quick grub, it is ideal place.
The food is good. It will satisfy any craving you may have for a Mexican centric meal. Prices are also very reasonable, portions are generous, and the service is above standard. Be prepared to deal with the crowd If you're looking to stop by during the lunch hour on weekdays.
Always a good spot in Downtown Sac to grab a bite. I've tried a lot of their food and haven't been disappointed. I'd give 5 stars, but they were out of pico on the salsa bar and the red salsa tasted a little funky. The Verde was perfect and my Cali burrito was delicious! Not counting calories? They make a burrito wrapped in a quesadilla... A completely different realm of burritos!
Place is great. It has a friendly atmosphere, good prices, great food, and a small chip and salsa bar. It gets a bit crowded at lunch, but that is because the food is so good. If you are in the area for lunch, it is worth giving them a shot.

This is my favorite burrito hole in the wall. This is NOT a fancy place to hang out. There are barely enough tables when they are slow. HOWEVER, there is a great park with green grass directly across the street. Come grab burritos for everyone (very affordable) and everyone go across the street to enjoy sitting in the Sun or Shade; or walk the city streets.
They offer a condiments bar to customize your burrito. Though they get sooo busy they often cannot restock while you are there. The burritos are good food, no, great even if you do not get a chance to add your own condiments of choice.
This is a popular destination for those on jury duty, as the courthouse is only a couple of blocks away.

My favorite place for Mexican food. Super tasty. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. Prices were appropriate. Food is similar to a cafe in Portland I liked.
This location is the best I have ever been to! All other Carolinas locations I have been to the sauces tasted like it was canned which it may be. This location has FRESH red and green sauce. The pico today was perfect too. I had a breakfast burrito with eggs, beans and cheese. Nice work Carolinas. I look forward to coming back to this location!!
I'm a tourist and I'd recommend this spot to anyone wanting authentic Mexican food. Their rolled tacos were great but the interaction, help and kindness came from their two employees Josh and Myra!!! Carolina's is my favorite quick bite. I'm always greeted warmly and the food is delicious. The pricing is very reasonable for its prime downtown location.
Located right across from Cesar Chavez park and less crowded and affordable than La Cosecha that is in the park although it doesn' t have any outside seating. Food is good and portions large but there are certainly many better Mexican restaurants in town. It is more of a convenience rather than a destination. They have a second place on Franklin near Sutterville and have been in business for over a decade.
