Absolutely fresh and delightful. Happy hour is on point. If you're coming later, make a reservation or anticipate a little wait. Very popular venue with delicious offerings.
We had nigiri, some rolls, and the aguachile. The Hamachi nigiri was very good, though it was the smallest nigiri I have ever had. We shared 3 rolls. The Hoki Poki was the best of them, it was fantastic. The Sunset roll was good, as was the Friday the 13th though the sauce was a little on the sweet side. The Aguachile is a fantastic dish, something you would expect to find in a world class restaurant. It is a beautiful dish and was delicious. Don't pass on that one.
We ate everything so quickly I could hardly get a picture because it was all SO GOOD. Definitely the best sushi I’ve had in a long time. In a world of conveyor belt sushi restaurants, this place is truly a gem. Our favorite was the Fry Tide—we actually ordered 2 more of those after finishing our first one. They have great happy hour specials and I also loved the hand roll of the day. We’ll definitely be returning! They were out of quite a few things which was a tad disappointing, but what we got was all delicious.
From being greeted at the door to the farewells at the end, everyone at bamboo is so beyond welcoming and friendly! Matt and Robert were our servers tonight! I chose bamboo for my birthday dinner as my yearly tradition is sushi ❤️ Robert was in training and Matt was showing him the ropes. They were both so kind and observant of our needs and were so thorough in educating us about menu options and details once the food arrived. The salmon flight was phenomenal and the fresh grated Wasabi is a must have! It has been a while since I've been to bamboo but I am never disappointed. Thank you so much for your kind service and excellent food!
Bamboo Sushi remains one of the best sushi options in Portland. I’ve been to each of their locations and they all consistently provide excellent quality food and each has it’s own particular atmosphere.
lovely sushi as always. the spicy edamame was so good that we ordered a side of rice to mop up the remaining sauce. the kaleidoscope cocktail is very floral and lovely without being too floral. i was surprised that our dishes all came out at different times, and the miso came out after the sushi, but they comped us the soup for that error. the black sesame brownie is sensational.
This was an excellent experience, from the dining atmosphere to the food itself. We got great recommendations from our waiter, who besides having great knowledge about their assortment also provided great service. I was amazed by the variety of sushi the restaurant offered, all fresh and flavorful with every bite feeling special. Each plate came with its own sauce made to match the already abundant flavors and add to them. I would like to touch a little on the dessert, as they have managed to elevate a simple brownie with ice cream and berries to something that’s hard to find anywhere else.
Such a great dinner experience ! It was my second time going in my five years of living here and I left thinking how I need to make this part of my regular rotation. Our server was incredible, delicious food, and overall great vibes.
So excited when I found out almost the whole menu was gluten free. Had miso soup, vegetable tempura, salmon special with 4 types of salmon. Being gluten free is hard and very limited. I was so excited when I was there. Great staff very helpful and friendly.
I have always enjoyed bamboo sushi. The food is always great quality and the rolls are very unique. The green machine with albacore is my absolute favorite roll. My only complaint would be that they change the menu too often. Over the years I have been going I will often find a new favorite just to have it disappear later.
