Every time we come eat here the staff is wonderful and the food is perfection. � My 9 year old daughter knows all the staff by name and the staff ALWAYS comes to greet us and makes sure we are taken care of. They go above and beyond and we greatly appreciate them! Shout out to On the border and staff!! #therealmvps

GOOD FOOD AND SERVICE. I can't understand all the negative reviews and feel that most of the complainers are probably employed by competitors. I've eaten there several times recently and have received good food and service every time. My dinner club ate there two days ago; we were promptly seated, our orders were taken and delivered soon thereafter. The servings were generous and tasty, our chips and salsa were fresh and attentively refilled when needed. Their prices are very reasonable. My only complaint is that the acoustic design creates a very noisy atmosphere.
New menu is terrific. Hostess was not at station and we waited a long time for her to get our table, then she said she had to clean our table first even though there were tons of empty tables already available. Something to do with a shift change I heard, but it seems to be a really stupid policy that is pissing people off on this post. Management take note. Otherwise great service and awesome new choices on menu. Glad to see the Bordedito's and the other stale items being fazed out.
A Personal Touch. I am not particularly drawn to chain restaurants, and this particular restaurant has not had the best reputation for service and food. But this has made a good turnaround!
The servers have been trained up! The kitchen seems to have it together. The drinks are good, reasonably priced, the food is fresh.
I am even able to get a flavor of the real Mexico. When I think Mexican food I think seafood, soups, and fresh veggies. This chain has that, and the guacamole made to order at your table is probably the best in town.
The best part was the late night manager and staff, who helped me out one night when I was in a bind. I needed some helium balloons for a children's sermon the next day, and all the party stores were closed. They went the extra mile to help me even though I wasn't spending a dime there that night. I will cherish that kind of customer service and continue to recommend this place to friends. .
Hit or Miss. We absolutely love the food at On The Border (especially the chicken burrito with sour cream sauce!!!), but the service is really hit or miss. You either get a fabulous server, or you get a horrible one. It also seems like they're incredibly understaffed, and the servers have way too many tables. Our last server had at LEAST 10 tables by herself, and you could tell she was struggling. Overall, the food is A+, service is B-, and price is a B.
I only crave this place when I'm pregnant. And since My doctor is in the Baptist's physician's building, we ate here at least once a month after long, drawn out pre-natal visits. It's tame, and the food is always the same as it was the time before. Being a chain, you can expect a certain level of quality. Not that it's the best by any means. I'm having a hard time explaining what it's like to be pregnant, sick, and still craving mexican food. If you're picky, or don't like tons of spice, or pregnant, it'll do the trick! The dip trio is very good, and I usually order the Mini Street Tacos, because they're served al carbon, just the way I like.
Came in for dinner, ordered the chips and queso and it was wonderful. The queso was rich and flavorful.
I sat near the bar and the bartender was great,very attentive. The manager David was absolutely pleasant , overall I received the best customer service i have ever had in years. I will definitely be back to this location. Thank you for making my dining experience amazing.
Great food, timely, delicious, and extremely fair on pricing. Mrs. Francis was our server, she was an absolute joy to be served by, missed Mrs. Abby this time, which we always ask for by name due to her skill and hospitality, but Mrs Francis must certainly took care of her regulars in her absence. Thank you On The Border! You have a great staff going for you at they moment, keep them happy lol! 😊
Kristi, the woman who did it all! Provided exceptional service! She was kind, attentive (despite serving many customers) and she makes the best drinks! She gives me a reason to not give up on a company I wanted to give up on a long time ago! I’ll be back to visit next time I’m in town!

Abigail was great! She was quick and efficient and so kind and caring offering advice for the food since it was our first time and basically read our minds with some of the foods!
We sat at the bar and had drinks and chips while we ordered food To go. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful the drinks were amazing chips were fresh and so was the salsa! The To go food was out in a decent time and when we got home the food was still hot and was really good!
Our waitress was awesome. We had a large crowd and she didn't miss a beat..
We go there for lunch! Food is always hot & fresh! We get something different every time we go so we have had it all! Service is great! Meridian& I 40 location we like the best!
