Had reservations in Little Italy, great atmosphere, excellent service (Troy). Build your own pasta menu, complimentary bread sticks. Food was fresh and amazing, some portions would feed 2 people (chicken parmesan). The food was a little slow coming out but was hot and fresh. Desert available but didn't have room for anything else after dinner.
Really good, homemade food right in the heart of Little Italy. The meatballs were good. Very big, good for sharing. I really enjoyed the twist on traditional chicken parm with a spicy marinara sauce! It made it unique and slightly different! The portion size was huge too, also great for sharing! The homemade pasta and sauce were also good. It was a bit over cooked and soft, not al dente. I’d recommend getting a few things and sharing with the table so you can try more. It was a little strange that I was sat in the very front when they clearly had open tables in the main seating area and throughout the entire time I dined too, even though I asked to sit in the main dining room. It was very cold up there and I had to keep my winter coat on the whole time which made it uncomfortable. It would be much more pleasant if they added heaters there. But overall, I did like the place because the food was good.
Came here for dinner. I wasn’t a huge fan of the food and the menu confused me a bit. Waitress said the menu was self explanatory but the options for standard pasta weren’t there. The ambiance was nice, sangria was good and my husband liked the food more than me so I gave it 4 stars.
Food was great, fair prices (and better than their neighbours), good service. I had the garlic, cream and butter sauce and it was very tasty. 2 of my friends ordered the broken meat balls sauce and while one liked it a lot, the other wasn’t crazy about it.
Downside of the place: the music. Omg, so bad! Had to be listening to teenage mellow pop rock breaking up songs the whole meal. Other than that, no complaints!
We were recommended by our friends to come here while we were visiting NY. Although it didn’t give you old school Italian vibes, the food and service made up for it. My wife was able to create her own pasta which most places won’t let you do. I ordered the chicken Parm with pasta added as a side(extra 6 dollars). Our waiter was very friendly and extremely attentive to all of our needs. We also had the calamari for an app. They give you breadsticks as well during your meal. I’ve never had a better chicken Parm than the one I had at Aunt Jake’s. By far the best. They give you two chicken cutlets so if you order it maybe skip the app. I couldn’t eat all of mine even though I wanted to.
Little Italy is filled with individuals standing outside telling you they are the best, but this place is the one. The combination of their fresh handmade pasta with the multiple choices of sauces you can get gives enough options for even the most picky of eaters. Everything was cooked perfectly and flavors were on point. The service was great considering it was Christmas Eve, and while they do ask if you have a reservation we were actually seated within 5 minutes.
Great appetizers with big portion sizes. Wonderful ambiance. Menu is make your own pasta- you choose the noodle and the type of sauce you want. Three of use ordered tagliatelle noodles which are traditionally thick and wide cut. What we got were noodles slightly wider than thin spaghetti. For sauces we got the broken meatball marinara, slightly disappointing with the flavor and also the amount of meat in the sauce. My husband’s lasagna was great and the noodles were definitely homemade. Aunt Jake’s drink was also tasty, light and refreshing.
This is one of my favorite spots in Little Italy. The first time I stopped here I tried their pasta and it was amazing and full of flavor. They do make their pasta fresh daily. This time I tried their All Natural Beef Meatballs. They were the best I have ever had. Don’t forget to try their red or white sangria you won’t be disappointed. Service is always the best. I would definitely recommend this place.
Firstly, the portions here are good. If you order pasta it comes in a full bowl which I found to be more than enough to be satisfied. The environment is also welcoming with chill music. The waitress was very attentive with little wait for any food that was ordered. Overall The food here is great, the pasta was cooked on point and my total was 60$ and it was 2 of us.
It was quite hard to pick a place to eat in Little Italy but this was the right decision. Haven't had family style pasta in quite sometime and this was a really good refresher. Three of us shared a few too many warm soft twisty garlic bread (but really is too many bread sticks even a thing ) and a family style portion Herb Garlic Garganelli pasta w/ broken meatball sauce...Sweet Baby!! The pasta was cooked to perfection, my goodness. It was soft, lightweight and green. The pasta wasn't as thick as I was anticipating but very filling for the size. The meatball chunks in the sauce were plentiful and hearty! The meatballs were really good and enough to fill each and every bite. I loved the sauce and the parmesan cheese was just the cherry on top as they say. Lol
Really need to come back here to try the squid ink pasta. I'm sure that's delicious as well. Can't wait!
