First time tried El Salvador food. Somewhat similar to what we ate in Ecuador. Ordered steak plate and chicken soup. It took a little longer for food to come Steak was rather thin than what we expected and little dry. Soup was nice. It had whole one leg inside the bowl and vegetable. Vegetables and chicken were cooked very well and all of them were so soft and tasty. Since they cooked so long soup had all the umami from chicken and veg I stocks and that made soup extra tasty.
If you are looking for Salvadoran food it is one of the best places in Nashville, the pupusas are excellent, and all Salvadoran food. If you have any problem, tell the waiter and they will solve it in the most friendly way. excellent place I recommend it
The papusas are amazing. The food is cooked fresh and not overly seasoned. The staff is friendly and doesn't mind answering some questions to help with your decision. The prices are perfect for an authentic, affordable meal. If you haven't tried this place, you're doing yourself a huge injustice.
I love when you go into a restaurant and the server can answer all of your questions without guessing, or high brow thinking because they know what is going on. El Pulgarcito, is a bit heavy, being a bread based culture but we were not disappointed we had to drive to Madison to enjoy dinner. Our server was attentive without being annoying and our food was delicious! We will be back!
The staff is incredible. They are kind, accommodating and so friendly. They handled my Uber eats order and some issues with the best customer service! The food is top notch. The pupusas are my favorite.
Good attention, delicious food, reasonable prices. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to know authentic Salvadorean cuisine...lot of flavor!
Admittedly I wasn't adventurous with my food choice today but I was happy with my choice. I order their shredded chicken tacos, two corn and two flour. I'm not a fan of store bought corn tortillas at all and I've tried several corn tortilla tacos at various Mexican restaurants, with no luck. So when my server told me that they make theirs from scratch I was excited and decided to try it. I'm grateful that I did, they were amazing! I equally enjoyed the both types of tacos with their spicy salsa verde. I'd like to come back and try some of their other dishes. I recommend going when you're not on a schedule and pressed for time, only b/c they make the food fresh and it takes a bit of time.
This place is very good! This is the combo #3, I wasnt able to finish it, it is very filling but very delicious! Their tamarind water is very delicious.
Being Mexican I feel its very hard to find authentic, but this place is a very authentic Salvadoran resteraunt, I loved it! Hablan español e ingles!
