GO. Atmosphere is super cute and the patio has got string lights. Servers were super friendly and helpful. Lots of fun cocktails and the food was amazing. I’m going to dream about the handmade beef dumplings. Sounds like a simple thing but the rice was cooked so well. Can’t wait to go back.
Great small restaurant that really commits to the aesthetics and went all put for their Halloween decorations! The food was very tasty, although I wish the dumplings had a little more filling and the ratio of breading to thigh meat in the fried chicken could use a bit of adjusting. The kimchi fried rice was awesome and came out very hot and fresh with a perfectly runny egg on top.
My only critique was for The Smashing Pumpkins cocktail. On its own, it was perfectly serviceable. However, it didn't really "fit" with the rest of the menu flavor-wise. I asked for it to be swapped out with the Terra Somek (lager with a shot of soju) and it paired MUCH better!
A really nice selection of great tasting foods and interesting drinks. Everything we ordered tasted great and the service was good too. The restaurant is a bit small and dark, but that’s totally fine once you get settled in your seat. I don’t usually eat Korean food, but I really enjoyed this.
Delicious kimchi dog, very fun drinks, and super vibey atmosphere. Also, world-renowned K-pop group Purple Kiss said they liked their meal from here. So upset I’m only visiting Nashville so I can’t come back immediately next week.
We were going to a concert at Riverside Revival across the street, and I found Babo by looking at Google Maps. We are SO glad we stopped in! Service was super friendly and fast, and the food and drinks were great. We had pork Bulgogi, Korean fried chicken (delicious honey sauce, as well as gochujang), scallion pancake and dumplings. Prices are very reasonable. Vibe is friendly neighborhood bar with food. We will definitely be back!
As someone who has a Korean best friend and grew up with Korean food, this is probably as close to authentic Korean food as you can get in Nashville. I have pretty high expectations and while it was good, it didn't really impress me. However, for someone who doesn't really know a lot of Korean food, this is a great option to try it out. The drinks are great and the service is wonderful. Great place to meet up with people too.
I really liked Babo. The menu was very limited, which was fine. Everything we tried was good. I can solidly recommend the BiBimBap. It was so good! My only disappointment was that there were none of the traditional table slides. Will I go back? Maybe? Since I don't live in Nashville, I think I might choose other options next time I'm there. I live in Hopkinsville, KY. That means that I have a ton of better options for Korean food within 20 - 30 minutes of where I live. It's the advantage of being in a military town. Overall, it was a good experience. I would not recommend it if you are looking for a traditional experience. If you're just looking for good Korean food, it's a great place to visit!
Babo is a great neighborhood bar. The food is really yummy and the atmosphere is nice. Kids are not allowed, so I don’t get to go very often.
Had a great experience here! Wonderful service and the food came out fast. Had the rose Maria drink and it was delicious! Katsu was a 10/10!
We had a mix of dishes and shared everything. It was all delicious and we will definitely be back.
