The food here is so good! Have never had a bad meal. The spicy California rolls are the best! Really good French fries as well. Diverse menu and beer/cider selection. The only recommendation I would have is maybe improving the furniture and ambience. If you’re okay with a dive vibe, then you will love this place. Highly recommend the food!
The food is exceptional, and has anything you could want from Sushi to Wings. The sushi is some of the best in Louisville. We come here several times per month due to the great beer selection, great value, and great service. These people work hard and we appreciate it!! The crab rangoons are legendary
WOW! What an excellent experience. The staff was kind, helpful, and attentive. Our bartender, Dariel, was amazing. Not only did he make recommendations, but we also felt seen and tended to for the entirety of our experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a special night on the town. This establishment exemplifies the warm, cozy vibe of Bardstown Road while treating its patrons to a VIP experience every time.
They have really good wings, and have been coming back for them for years. However, the last two times I've come the service has been pretty slow and inattentive. I would still recommend coming because the food is great.
I never leave reviews for places, but feel compelled to come sing the praises of this establishment. What is ostensibly a run-of-the-mill, hole-in-the-wall little pub is, in reality, a hidden gem. A complex, fusion menu of pub-grub-meets-Japanese offering both sushi and hot wings; a diverse offering of draft beers; an intimate ambience in a spacious, open room and, most notably, an extremely attentive (but not excessively so) and knowledgeable wait staff. This is a truly class joint wherein you instantly feel like a regular. I want to specifically give props to the server Dariel that took such good care of us.
This is everything you crave and more. The sushi is outstanding, the Burmese noodles are delicious. Their burgers are perfect if You're craving a grilled taste. Tet and Dariel are amazing waiters! Go check them out!
Always solid bar food, the pretzel is huge and the wings are good. The sushi is really good too, as well as some of the other dishes on the asian side of the menu.
Outstanding options, great prices and decent beer selection too.
I've heard rumors about this place being a solid local contactless pickup location now that the Corona's is in full swing and BOY...I was surprised!
River City Drafthouse is AWESOME!
If you're feeling like a good ole fashioned burger and fries, a philly Cheesesteak or a shrimp Po'boy - look no further. Not exactly MINDBLOWING but decent, fast and tasty.
The REAL bonus is when you spy the AMAZING Sushi and Sashimi options in the menu! WOW - these are all GREAT! FResh, nice fish cuts and even some tasty fried noodles!
If you haven't already...give it a go and experiment with a mix of USA and Asian dishes!
Oh...and the beer is good too!
I've been a regular customer of river city since I moved to louisville almost 7 years ago. The food is amazing, atmosphere is plenty, staff and management (specifically dariel and Htet) are always helpful and kind. I've never had a bad experience. They go above and beyond for their guests. I work locally and highly recommend river city to many of my customers.
Great sushi and tap list! Who knew a pub could be so versatile and tasty? Great happy hour specials all week long.
