I love Sharks Restaurant. They have fantastic fish. Before coming to Sharks, I was not big on any kind of fish, but now I just can't get enough of their Catfish dinners. Anything you get here to eat is a win-win selection.
This place is a comfortable and welcoming environment where you can dine in or carry out your meal. This is the best place to eat fish, in my opinion.
I tried Sharks Seafood only to be amazed by the taste and quality of the fried cod I ordered! It was so good I went back the next night for a repeat performance and was not disappointed! Three pieces of fried cod and two sides for $12.99. I enjoy fish if it's grilled, baked or fried, and this fish was delicious and I was impressed. I drive all over the county looking for delicious fish and Sharks Seafood is a winner! The dine in seating is tables and chairs and booths, plain and clean but nothing fancy. It's like a good diner seating. They have numerous fish options on the menu; I even noticed fried green tomatoes listed. I know I'll be going back to Sharks many times and sampling the varieties and menu choices. I don't know the history of the restaurant and who started it but I'm glad they did! You can order takeout or order and pay at the counter then take a seat and then be called when your order is ready.
Outstanding!! Hard to find places like this. The food was made fresh to serve. Perfectly battered and fried and served hot and fresh. Two of us have food allergies and the gentleman behind the counter was so kind and professional and reassured me our orders would be fried with only cornmeal and separately; he spoke to the kitchen to ensure no flour would cross into our food. Those of us with allergies and sensitivities are so appreciative of the extra steps to ensure our health and safety. Truly a hidden treasure here in Louisville and some of the best fried fish I’ve eaten in a long time.
The restaurant was clean and fairly busy, few minutes to wait for your made to order. They offer a few booth seats, and couple of tables all indoors.
It was so good I drove over an hour to bring my mom back with me and my husband (mom is terribly picky about fish) and she LOVED it!! The catfish and shrimp are amazing! All the side are great, potato salad, slaw, green beans, fries, hush puppies. Today we got the crab cakes and they're also amazing! Some of the best fish we've ever had! It's clean and so quick for being so fresh! I'm just amazed at how good everything is. And the have Big Red which is cool just wish they had brewed sweet tea lol.

The "cod" was not as good as that produced by my standard of reference, Hungry Pelican. But it was way better than my last disappointment, that served by Kingfish, which was actually tan or brownish in color, way off my expectations for quality. Good cod is pure white. That said, Shark's was carefully prepared, almost pure white except for one piece that was strangely a little glassine in color, and all the pieces were uniform in size, doneness and quality. It tasted good, but had an odd chewy stringyness at one edge of each filet.
The 6 piece jumbo shrimp my wife ordered were more successful, cooked perfectly so as to result in that slight pop you get before it's overcooked. It was delicious, too. The fries were cooked so about half of them were crispy. I like mine more crispy, but most would be happy with this mix of some crisp and some a little soft. These fries were treated with something to enhance their finish, something I don't prefer but which more and more places use rather than just getting the natural fry to crisp up. It helps to fry them in two stages, something few will do, because it's labor intensive. All in all, a successful dinner, but one which will send me back to Hungry Pelican for the cod I get to craving.
My family loves it . It’s close by , it’s delicious and seasoned well . Good portions , variety of options . Decent prices .
Food cost a little more than I liked, but, the young man that took our order was very polite and friendly.
I got the cod on white & it was very good! The bread kind of stuck to my teeth (I think bc of the fish soaking into it) but this didn’t deter me from it & as I said it still tasted very good. They seem to be very busy most of the time as they have never answered their phone when I’ve called. But overall good food for the price. Will definitely go back.
Great stuff! New place kinda hidden back in this shopping center but it's definitely worth going to find it. Got Jalapeño Poppers and a Cod Sandwich with fries. The fries are perfection and the rest was very good as well. Will definitely come back.
The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean and orderly. We had clam strips, oysters, chicken, fries, okra and grilled salmon. We enjoyed all of it but the grilled salmon was especially tasty.
