I had the honor, privilege and pleasure of finally eating here yesterday after waiting nearly ten years to do so. The wait was definitely worth it, easily some of the best noodles I've ever had in my life. The service was great, food came out really fast and was delicious. I can't wait to go back for more! 👍👍😁😁💚💚
I have been here several times, and it is excellent the portions are large and you can get it anywhere from mild to flaming super spicy ...
They also have delicious beer that's imported from Japan
I go out of my way to come to this place every time I'm in Los Angeles and San Diego
Always good. Everytime I order soy ramen. I think here is the best place in USA. Only one thing I hate is parking lot.....Parking lot is too small and only 1hr validation.Again, Ramen is amazing....
I’m sure the regular patrons of Orochon Ramen were quite thrilled when their little corner of the world got a big time spotlight on Man Vs. Food. I’m equally sure their excitement is over now that Man Vs. Food has left, and all that’s left is a bunch of semi-foodies wandering in now that the place is famous.
The bowls are huge and more than enough for two people. I made the mistake of asking for extra noodles and veggies. If I didn't order the extra's it still would have been more than enough for 1 person. I have the level 4 and it was spicy but the broth overall was okay. I guess I would come back if in the area but I would not make any special trip to come here.
Awesome ramen bowl. The miso is so flavorful and the spice is just right. You can see from the menu and in the pics there is spicy for every level and beyond. Plenty of vegetables and pork - this is not your college bowl of ramen.
Love this place. Perfect amount of spice to still enjoy your ramen. I get the miso special 1 with jalepenos the only thing they skimp on is meat but other than that they are very generous with toppings. Its best to go after 5 to avoid the rush
SPICIEST RAMEN!!. They've got the spiciest ramen in the city!!! I lovee spicy food and this place got me fall in love! I love their special 2 miso with extra pork and corn!!! TRY THEM!
I didn't know that... When I went to there for the first time, I felt a little bit of disappointiment.
But, after that I can't stop thinking about this spot.
yammmmmmm.
Tiny little ramen noodle place in little Tokyo. Was featured on man vs food for its spicy ramen challenge. I got the most basic non spicy ramen and can still tell you it was super delicious. Huge bowl of soup guaranteed to fill you up
When you order a bowl of ramen at this place, you really do get a bowl of Ramen!
You get a nice sized bowl that may even be enough for two people. The food is VERY good and well worth the price!
My tip: Go there hungry, but order one thing at a time as chances are you will get full before you know it!
I can't wait to go back there again!
Best wishes from Chef Alby aka "The Gulping Gourmet".
Great for a ramen craving. Good ramen, solid base and well done ingredients. Better can be found in Vancouver BC, but when in LA, this works just fine for a ramen craving.
You wont find this place driving around little tokyo, it's on the third floor of an open air mall.
Enjoy!
Big portion of ramen that you can choose extra topping and the level of spicyness. Located on the third floor, would recommend families with children.
Stopped by here after shopping awhile, we were seated and served pretty quickly. Ordering was simple, and you are given a giant serving for the price, which is great. The presentation was pretty messy though, but it was really filling and tasty. Definitely want to come back and try it with more toppings. 😋
I owe so enjoy their ramen. If you want a light ramen this is the place to go instead of daikokuya, it’s specializes in the miso ramen and the cp 2 spicy ramen that man eat world ate. I think one person next to me finished it. I would not recommend it to anyone, I saw someone try it next to me and they were suffering. Anything for the socials! They also validate for one hour and that parking lot is tight.
Big portions, convenient location in Little Tokyo, and noodles were pretty good. However the miso ramen was a bit salty and in general the dishes here are a bit pricey.
There is no other Ramen place I would want to dine in. The location comes with a view and the staff are amazing. The food is always fresh and flavorful. I'm already planning another date night for Orochon soon!
My friend and I came here on her recommendation and I did not know what to expect. I knew I needed fried rice at least, so we ordered a half order of that, an order of pot stickers, then two bowls of ramen with the miso broth I believe.
They also have beer which is always a plus in my book.
The food was so delicious and I will come back here whenever I am in town. Anyone who loves great tasting ramen and good service need to come here.
I didn't see where or how to use the bathroom but I'm sure there is one somewhere.
For anyone's first time: it is not street level, rather it's in a plaza on the second/third floor via stairs or an elevator. As far as parking I am not sure as we walked here from Union Station (highly suggest).
Ramen was very rich and delicious. Was hoping it came with egg already but not too bad for the quantity of food. Very delicious. I got the medium spicy but might go for the impact next time. Recommended if you enjoy ramen.
Been coming here for a decade. I can recommend the Miso Ramen with a number 5 spice level. Honestly, it’s a great balance between spice and flavor. Any lower number spice level tends to overpower the flavor in my opinion.
Service is great, you can hit a button to call the server - just like Japan. It’s a bit pricey compared to Ramen in Japan, but what are you gonna do? We’re not in Japan.
You seen the reviews!.
Great spot for ramen 🍜
My first was nice staff was good. Excited for next visit!
Staff were so attentive, courteous, and helpful!
Food was EXCELLENT and the portions are ENORMOUS.
Well-priced, delicious, lots of different options and ways to customize.
Highly recommend if you want what I consider the best Ramen I've had!
