This was my first time eating at "Taste n See" and everything was perfect. The location was great, the atmosphere was great and our waitress "Kanisha" was the best!! We order the "big daddy " & the shrimp and grits. All was seasoned so well, I would definitely go back. Parking is limited. I apologize if I misspelled her name. My intentions were good.
I came here with a coworker on a Monday afternoon around 2pm. There was no line and service was very quick. The waitress, and Hostess, and other staff were incredibly polite, professional, and helpful. Both my co-worker and I had the chicken and waffles--which were delicious. They were crisp on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside and whatever mix they use is A1. The wings, although cooked well, had a slightly overly salty taste and could have used a little more balanced seasoning.
Parking can be tricky given at all the street parking around the restaurant is paid parking. There is a parking structure with underground parking however the spots for retail parking are limited.
They also have a bar and a happy hour menu.
I will absolutely recommend this restaurant and I'll be back soon. The Mimosa menu grab my attention and I'm anxious to get here on the weekend to try it out.
My husband and I came here and was immediately impressed simply by the service. We moved from Brooklyn and Detroit and were looking for a good chicken and waffle place that reminded us of home. Our waitress Justice was extremely sweet, observant, and helpful! Sidney made my husband specialty coffee to perfection! The owner Orlando was awesome! He was so welcoming and kind! Very personable...he felt like family, and we adopted him as such Lol! He walked around and greeted everyone and came back to make sure our food was to our satisfaction!
It has a great vibe, amazing 90's r&b and hip hop music which is my FAV! This was our first visit, but certainly not our last!! I look forward to coming for karaoke night and enjoy this place in the summer with their outside patio.
Now about the food.... make sure you don't catch a case because it'll make you slap your mama! Lol the cinnamon roll waffles with lemon chicken, mac and cheese and greens!! I'm in LOVE! Definitely worth coming!
We went for an early dinner and received excellent service and friendly smiles from other staff. We both ordered chicken dishes and found it so tender, flavorful and moist. I wish my waffle was crispy and I really felt like the chicken could use a spicier crust to counter the sweetness of the waffle and syrup. The macaroni was very good but the all the potato sides (fries, garlic mashers and sweet potatoes) were a bit lack luster. It's a Pepsi place, which is never my favorite, BUT they did have Big Red, so that's awesome. I definitely think we'll be back!
Food was fresh..the chicken and waffles are sooooo goooodd,and the grits were great. My husband and I sat out side and they brought us our food to the table.. great customer service!!I would definitely go back for more..next time I'm getting shrimp and grits..yummm!!
Soul Food love the Chicken and Waffle you get plenty of food only Jeer is if you want bread with the meal you have to purchase it separately I will totally recommend it you will love it!!
First time going. Ordered to go. Very long wait time. What I ordered was pretty good because of the cream sauce, but it was borderline dry. My husband ordered chicken and biscuits breakfast and they were fried very hard which also made them dry. Will go back and maybe try their other location on Alta Mesa and see if its better
Met family here for a birthday dinner. The food was great , Atmosphere and the service was OUTSTANDING! Kudos to the young men who were our waiters. Very attentive, super polite. I’m giving you guys a five star review just on customer service alone . Will dine in again and will recommend. 🙌🏾👍🏾⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I went there for the first time on Saturday because I was looking for the best chicken and waffles. I was not disappointed at all. The waffles were truly the best Belgian waffles that I have tried. The chicken was seasoned and cooked just right. I drove almost 30 minutes from where I live at to try this place and will do it again. I was also impressed by the restaurant set up. There were plenty of tables inside and a nice number of tables outside. This place needs to be open everyday. :)
We had breakfast here this morning. Not super busy. We really enjoyed the food: eggs cooked in real butter; crisp, not burned, bacon; homemade biscuit. So good!
Server is having a baby tomorrow. She was friendly but looked a bit uncomfortable. The manager was helpful.
I will go back. It was yummy!
