Honestly, I am a food snob and must say with my rep on the line that their fire burger with pub chips was one of the best combos ive ever had burger-wise...i sub'd cheddar and also had a tasty whiskey first though :) Everything is locally sourced and beef is grass fed from Aspen. Get you some!
The Public House is a great place to eat with a cool pub ambience! The food is awesome EVERY time we go and the staff is always so nice and attentive. You can tell the owners care about their place and their patrons. Highly recommend this pub---food is always fresh and the beer is always great! Cheers to a great local establishment that rocks it!
Stopped in for lunch with my boyfriend, it wasn't too crowded and we sat down right away. Waitress was wonderful and quick about getting us set up with drinks and taking our orders. Didn't have to wait too long for food either which was nice. I got the shrimp tacos and boyfriend got the Buffalo chicken wrap. I thought prices were fair and the food was good. The Buffalo chicken wrap dripped a lot of sauce out but overall the food had decent flavors. Had a nice time and I'd probably go back to see how the evening atmosphere is.
Great service with a smile. Brought our dogs with to eat on outdoor patio and the server immediately brought a dog bowl of water for the pups. Food was on point and came out quickly.
I've sort of become a new regular at this bar for a quick, delicious meal. But honestly, if you've ever popped in for lunch, how could you not? From Missy's warm, almost immediate greeting, to the regular specials, and amazing craft beer rotators. It's truly a special place. The service is welcoming and speedy. The dishes are well thought out and utterly delicious. Be sure to check out any New Belgium they have as well. :)
I’ve been coming here for a few years and LOVE everything about this place! The food is out of this world, especially the burgers! The staff is super friendly & so personable. If you’re looking for a spot to hang out that feels like home definitely check them out!

Came in on a Tuesday evening, and got seated right away at one of their rustic barrel tops. Loved the vibe inside, and it wasn't too loud, even though it was mostly full.
We ordered all kinds of food, and everything was amazing. I had the Mac & Cheese with chicken. Spicy and great! Daughter had an amazing burger with grilled onions and delicious aoli of some sort. Son loved the chicken wings, and the pub fries were tasty. Wife had chicken satay, which again was amazing.
Everything had plenty of flavor, was cooked just right, and was delivered in a timely manner.
Go here as quickly as possible!
We had a late lunch here today and sat out on the patio, which was very enjoyable with the mountain views. Unfortunately, the red umbrella we were under gave a red tint to all my photos! Did not make the food look appetizing! But it was delicious. It's our first time here, so we had trouble choosing. Got the fried green tomatoes (very good), the stuffed poblano chilies with chicken (also very good). My husband had the carnitas tacos. He said the meat could have used more flavor. I ordered hot wings to take home. Most of all, our waitress, Missy, was awesome!
We will come back to try something else.
This place is amazing in every way! Everyone was so friendly and inviting, and the service was absolutely superb! Even the other customers were friendly, we actually had our meal anonymously paid for by another family. Very highly recommend!
Service was outstanding. Never had to ask for our waters to be refilled. Burgers are done with local Aspen Ridge meat. I absolutely love Aspen Ridge meat, and so did the kids and wife. Outstanding burgers. We usually go here after a hike makes it even better. Dessert (cheesecake) was actually awesome as well. Go here.

After a long Saturday of work, we needed a place to eat some food as we both didn’t eat the entire day. We decided to stop by The Public House since we were down in Southern Colorado Springs.
They atmosphere is pretty great, but please wear a jacket if you get cold easily! It’s pretty cold in the restaurant but it makes sense for the staff always going between the kitchen and the front of house.
Our server was attentive and we received great service.
We started off with the garlic knots. OH MY WORD these were incredible. Some of the best garlic knots I’ve ever had. Plus great deal for how many garlic knots we had! We’re coming back here just for these garlic knots! Even the woman sitting next to us was jealous.
With that being said I believe the breathtaking garlic knots elevated our expectations and the entrees didn’t follow through.
My wife enjoyed her cheesesteak and fries.
For my burger I did order it “Medium” and with no cheese but it came “Well Done” and with cheese (see attached photos). After taking off the cheese, it removed about half of the onions which was unfortunate. The onion rings were a nice side and I enjoyed them. The burger was good but over cooked.
But please read this part of the review. I will be back to try another entree because I believe their staff was overwhelmed with all of the takeout orders and consistently full restaurant/bar sections. I believe it was just a missed cue on my burger and everyone there definitely cares about their customers. That’s the difference!
Overall 4 stars and I would recommend The Public House.
Grabbed a quick bite on the way to COS and had a great cuban sandwich and burger. Missy is an awesome server…we were in a bit of a rush and she got our orders in ahead of many other tables, while still managing all customers with ease and enthusiasm. Will definitely be back next time we roll through the Springs.
